Mintolla Ball

The Cerbera Odollam tree species produces Mintolla balls. Mintolla balls are native to Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Australia. Our replicas are made from strong, food-safe, and impact-resistant materials. This specimen was 3D scanned and digitally created to provide a unique internal space core. These two halves stay in place with press-fit knubs and internally cast magnets. If you would prefer a more difficult test of your animals opening these pods, we recommend placing a stickier food source in the food core and then freezing the whole pod. These are intrinsically tinted to keep vibrant colors after rigorous use and cleanings. Our Mintolla balls feature an ample cavity for various food uses. The overall pod measures 3 1/2 inches tall when closed and is roughly 2 inches wide. The inner chamber that conceals food items is approximately 1 3/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. (Note: can be cast without magnets if preferred.) As each enrichment is hand-cast and tinted, color may vary slightly.
