The Lotus Pod is native to North America. These unique pods are all part of the lotus flower's development. These pods feature large open pockets that are naturally occurring. The pod is slightly flexible, allowing it to hold nuts or small biscuits. The Lotus pods are also great for holding paste-like food sources. Our replicas are made from strong, food-safe, and impact-resistant materials. Molded from dried specimens, they retain all the detail of the original pods. These are intrinsically tinted to keep vibrant colors after rigorous use and cleanings. The pod is roughly 3 inches wide. The internal chambers are approximately 1/2 inch deep. The stem section is approximately 12 inches long. The stem and portions of the pods have poly rope internally cast to provide strength. As each enrichment is hand-cast and tinted, color may vary slightly.
