Explicitly designed for species of Horned Lizards to easily eat ants while keeping the insects contained to one area. Ants are placed inside the magnetically closed inner chamber. As they move around, the ants will climb up and down the clear acrylic rod. This action provides a convenient feeding station for insectivorous reptiles. The overall measurements are 1 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. The top opening of the container is 1 1/2 inches wide. Made from a hard urethane plastic, these enrichments are intrinsically tinted to retain and resist color loss from daily use. We recommend putting a thin layer of Vaseline around the opening to keep ants from escaping the container. This container comes with a themed cover designed to camouflage this feeder in public display habitats. The cast plastic cover is hand-painted and sculpted to resemble an ant mound down to the small sand grain. This addition serves both as an enrichment for the animals and a visually appealing engagement for guests—the anthill mound cover measures roughly 10 inches at its widest and 2 1/2 inches tall. The anthill mound's top opening measures approximately an inch wide. As each enrichment is hand-cast and tinted, color may vary slightly.
